Lots of Fun - Without Mom and Dad!

Yesterday was a day full of appointments at the hospital and our midwives.  Debra had to get an important shot and it took all day to get the paperwork and tests accomplished.  Thankfully, Canaan didn’t have to sit through all of that!  Debra’s Aunt Leah and Uncle Peter took him for the day and from what we’ve heard he had a spectacular day. Leah’s granddaughter Emery was there for the day as well and they seemed to hit it off, after we picked Canaan up all he would talk about was Emery.  ‘Where’d Emery go? Emery! Emery! Come Emery!’ This morning I showed him a picture of Emery and he said, ‘Cute Emery!’

Canaan, Leah and Emery!

With Canaan being looked after for the day, Debra and I were able to get a lot more done.  In between appoints we had the chance to get to the beach and do a few errands.  We managed to wade through all of the red tape and Debra received her shot.

Canaan and Auntie Leah

Not only did Peter and Leah watch Canaan but the day before that they spent some time at our house and upgraded our living conditions!  They brought a washer and dryer that we are going to borrow during our time in Mount Forest.  This was a HUGE blessing, we have had a lot of trouble finding a set at a reasonable price.  I bought an old pair last week and they turned out to be duds.  We had tried using the laundromat for a while, but it was expensive.  It cost about $5 per load!  That really added up fast.  Peter also helped me with some work that was desperately needed on our shower.

 Thanks Peter and Leah!

On this day..
