Bike to Africa - TOMORROW!!

Bike to Africa Official GearOur Bike to Africa event is tomorrow!  In case you haven’t heard about it, my brother Ken and a friend Brendan are biking 200km (125 miles) tomorrow to raise money to ship our belongings and supplies to Guinea next spring.  People are sponsoring per km or mile or even a flat amount.

Their big bike ride begins at 8am.  Every 50kms there is a rest stop where they can get hydrated and have a snack.  At approximately 10:00am and 5:30pm we will be doing live broadcasts with Ken and Brendan!  If you have the time, join us!  You’ll be able to interact with the bikers, ask questions or just watch.  You can find the live broadcasts at http://biketoafrica.co.nr  If you are feeling really adventurous, you can visit the guys at one of their check points: Mount Forest, Dundalk, Angus, or Hornings Mills (the finish).  If you are interested in that, give us a call at 805.504.8753 and we’ll give you more precise directions.

We are currently sitting at $1100 in pledges!  Thanks everyone!  That takes a lot out of the estimated $5000 that we will need to ship our belongings and supplies to Africa.  If you were thinking about sponsoring the guys on their bike ride you can still do so at the bike to africa website.

If you think of it, pray for Kenny and Brendan tomorrow for strength and endurance as they bless us with their biking skills!

On this day..
