Besides studying French and working on a few websites, I’ve been busy helping our home church in Shelburne with a few projects. In a few weeks we will be having a ‘Kid’s Day’ which is kind of a short VBS. We are doing an amusement park/carnival theme with different stations that have crafts, games, stories, etc. There’s lots of work to do setting up but it’s been fun to be a part of and our hope is that there are children that will understand God’s message for them! One of my tasks was to order some custom balloons. They were ordered quite some time ago and have made their way from Florida, to California, to Durham, and then finally to us here in Mount Forest (thanks Mom, Gregg and Kathleen!). Tomorrow we’ll be at the church decorating for the big event. I haven’t done a lot of work with children before so I think that this will be a good experience for me. Have any of you worked in a VBS or with children? Any ideas or tips for making it a fun day?
On this day..

Yes, first comment!
So we’ve been thinking a lot and we’ve decided that you should rent/borrow a clown suit and learn some of Matt Gunther’s magic tricks and families will be coming back for year to come saying “remember Norm the clown?!. Those were the good old days”!
