Online Classes

As time passes before we leave for Guinea, it’s important to me to continue studying French, to keep what I learned and hopefully even improve. Speaking is the most important thing right now, I can study as much as I want in my books but I need to be using my French if I want to progress. Being in Mount Forest doesn’t create a lot of immediate opportunities to do this so I’ve had to get creative. I’ve written about it before, but one of the best websites I use is Edufire. Edufire is a great place to find tutors on a variety of languages and other topics such as cooking, government, music theory, etc. With the audio and video it’s the next best thing to sitting down at a table with a tutor. I do one on one lessons each week but last week I started doing multi-person classes as well. These classes are free because they are still being tested out. It’s been a lot of fun having an environment where I can practice with other students. Tonight there were five of us discussing a Québecois movie. This is the first time that I’ve done any sort of class or course on line, has anyone else done courses online? If so, what type and where?
