Shipment Update
Over the past couple of days we’ve placed some orders for our upcoming shipment. Our shipment is due in Missouri by May 8th and the ship will leave in the weeks following – of course that is if everything goes as scheduled and that rarely (maybe never) happens. It was a little daunting placing thousands of dollars of orders but exciting at the same time. We purchased some basics to get our house running electrically: things like an inverter, generator, gel batteries, etc. We bought some other basics for the kids (diapers, wipes, etc.) though there is still much to purchase, plan and accomplish. We need to buy tickets before too long and begin planning and purchasing the second shipment in June/July. I also need to plan immunizations soon, thankfully some of those were already taken care of from our previous visit to Guinea.
I’m not even sure what I’m trying to say here, I suppose just asking for your prayers! God has been reminding me lately of my utter dependence on Him. In the coming months there are so many unknowns for us, yet they are all ‘knowns’ for God. He’s reminded me that He is using this planning process to shape me and teach me.
