French Newsletter and Other News
While it may be wishful thinking, I’m hoping that we will soon be able to take a little breather. Our first shipment of supplies have been ordered and in about a week or two will be on their way to North Carolina where they will be loaded on to a boat! We have a couple of boxes still to pack and send for the first shipment but we can now start to look towards our second shipment which will (possibly) leave late June or into July. We are also trying to nail down a price on tickets and get those taken care of soon. Things are slowly falling into place and I have to say thank you to everyone who has helped us. So many people are praying, giving and helping in so many other ways. Please continue to pray as we chip away at our list of supplies to purchase as well as the tickets, immunizations, etc.
Because our first shipment is heading out soon, we had Canaan pack up a small box of cars that he will have to play with during our first few months. We told him that they were going to Guinea and he was excited about that. The sad part was that he doesn’t realize that he won’t see them until we get there. Hopefully it’s an out of site out of mind situation. So far he hasn’t asked for them.
This morning I finally finished our newsletter in French. It’s the same newsletter we sent out in english a few weeks ago, it just takes a bit more time to translate. Special thanks to Jim Erickson, our friend in Québec who corrected my work so that it doesn’t disturb the Québecois too much. If you are interested, you can find the french version here.
