Day 9… Emmaus dedicated

Our countdown has progressed another day! We are 9 days away from our departure. Today was a special day for us, we had Emmaus dedicated at church. A lot of people aren’t quite sure what we mean when we say ‘dedicated’ so I’ll explain. It was simply a chance for us to go before the church and say that we intend to raise Emmaus for God. Pastor Jim encouraged us to be Godly parents and glorify the Lord in how we raise him. Pastor Jim encouraged the congregation to pray for us and we appreciate that! It was a good reminder to me that ultimately, Emmaus is not our, he is God’s. God has entrusted us with him and the is an awesome responsibility! Pray for us as we seek to raise Emmaus to love God and seek after Him.

We just hung out as a family afterwards and enjoyed Gregg and Kathleen’s patio. Nothing like a perfect sunny Californian afternoon! A few more pictures are below:
