Tickets Bought!

Canaan, Dani-Jacques & Spiderman

I finally have tickets for my trip to Guinea next week. It was some what of a last minute trip but I was able to obtain visas quickly (in less than 48 hours from starting to fill out the application) and buy decently priced tickets. We praise the Lord for the support necessary to make these trips. I leave next Thursday and will be gone for about three weeks. While in Guinea I will spend time with Pastor Samuel and other friends we made while in Guinea as well as packing up our belongings and selling what we can. In Guinean culture parting ways is a big deal, they go through a sort of mourning process not all that dissimilar from a funeral. I need to take the time to say a proper goodbye before transitioning to Senegal. Thankfully though we will be able to stay in contact with Pastor through the blessings of email, phone, etc.

Over the last few days we’ve been picking up gifts for our Guinean friends. Canaan’s friend Dani-Jacques LOVES spiderman and so Canaan picked out some special gifts that I will give to him next week (picture below). I will miss my family like crazy but look forward to my time in Guinea. Thanks everyone for your prayers and support!
