Happy 5th Birthday Canaan Joshua!!!
Our sweet little Canaan is turning 5 tomorrow! What a big boy he has become. He is so tender, loving, selfless, and absolutely hilarious! He loves to entertain us and make us laugh, he loves to give us hugs and kisses when we are sad or hurt. He is learning so very much in school and he is quickly becoming bilingual and a talented artist! He loves riding his bike, but he much prefers to play outside if his little brother comes too.
About a month ago he drew a picture of a birthday cake. Ever since then he has asked me to make him that cake for his birthday. I did my best and here is a comparison picture!
We were going to take his cake into school today so he could celebrate with all of his classmates, but he was up very sick in the night, so he had to stay home. But we had a good day hanging out with him and he is feeling much better today.
We dont have any big plans tomorrow because there is supposed to be some pretty big protests here in Dakar tomorrow. So we want to do our best to stay away from that. But hopefully we can walk down the street and go to a small kids park.
Thank you everyone for your prayers for us and please continue to pray for us as we disciple and guide Canaan into becoming a wonderful man of God who lives his life with the sole purpose of glorifying God and leading his family to do the same.
Canaan we LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!! Happy 5th Birthday!
