Light and Dark
We have been enjoying some serious light here in California! Its been nice and sunny and we have been taking advantage of it! In Dakar they have been seeing some seriously dark days. The riots are continuing and they are happening all over the city.
Our life here in California is totally opposite of life in Dakar!
We have beautiful weather, dry and warm. In Dakar its super hot and nearly 100% humidity.
There is plentiful food here for us. In Dakar its not really very safe to go out to get food.
There is 24 hour power here. In Dakar they are almost completely in the dark with only a few hours of power a day.
There is no political strife that can actually endanger our lives, totally stable. In Dakar its totally the opposite.

Here is a link to some photos of Dakar from the recent riots.
And here are some photos from our time here in California. We went the the local airport the other day and the kids just LOVED seeing all the airplanes. =)
