Grocery shopping!

Today I went grocery shopping for the first time since coming back to the States. I had avoided it thus far. I was sure that I would be so overwhelmed. So many choices… so many wonderful foods that we miss.
Today I wanted to get some sweet potatoes for dinner. So I decided to run out to the post office, the grocery store and while I was out… I totally needed some Starbucks! =)
I forgot how fun grocery shopping is. Its so relaxing, so fun, so creative, so rejuvenating. I felt like I was on vacation. I was lost in wonder. A whole row of cereal. Two rows of drinks and juices. More meat than anyone could ever use. I had so much fun looking at EVERYTHING.
In Senegal, grocery shopping is a constant frustration. I have never once returned to the house with everything that was on my list. I almost alway come home from “food searching” with a headache.
I think I might now be addicted! =)
On a side note… we are truly loving the sun and weather! =)
On this day..
