Journey
36 hours of travel. 21 hours in a plane. 5 airports. 3 planes. 4 countries. 3 times through security. 1 time through customs. 6 carry ons. 6 suitcases. 1 stroller. 2 kids. 1 adult. 1 hurricane.
Please pray for me as we leave Monday morning for our JOURNEY back home to Senegal. We are praying that Hurricane Irene does not delay our departure. So far it looks like we will be fine. But we will be dealing with the terrible aftermath and crazy overloaded airport in New York City. We are running around, packing our last few things, soaking up the last hours with family… good weather… good food. We have a lot of adjustments ahead. It will be a long hard journey and a long hard readjustment back into Africa. We covet your prayers in the next few days and weeks. We will only be able to survive the next week through the strength that God gives us so lovingly. We are super excited to see Norm again! And of course all of our friends in Senegal. Please pray for me as its a very difficult time for me saying goodbye. And pray for the kids to as it is not easy to have to adjust so often. Thank you so much for all of your prayers and encouragements. We were so grateful to see so many of you… even though it was very brief.
