Spreading the Word

Getting the Gospel to thousands of unreached tribal groups around the world takes a lot of different things. One important ingredient is of course, people! In every place we have served with NTM, be it Guinea, Sénégal or Canada, one constant has been the lack of people. We’ve seen teams struggle to get translation done because of other tasks that continually pop up. Having served in Africa and now at the home office with NTM we have seen and experienced the lack of coworkers on the field and also the effort that is taking place to get people interested and involved in missions.

Missions Conference

Last weekend I had the opportunity to head to Toronto and be involved in representing NTM at a missions conference. This isn’t something that I normally do, but we are all finding ourselves covering bases in areas that we never envisioned being a part of! It was exciting though to meet people who had never heard of NTM or the need that exists in remote areas around the world. My favourite moment of the evening was showing a video of testimonies of people from the Moi tribe. The man watching the video was astounded at how clearly they communicated the Gospel and what Jesus means to them. I encourage you to check out that video if you haven’t already.

We try many different methods to see more people get involved in missions, but we can’t forget the most important one of them all – prayer! In Matthew 9:38 it says,

Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.

Pray with us for more labourers! Someday there will be representatives from every tribe tongue and nation worshipping the Lord – and that is why we do what we do – so that God will be glorified by more and more people!

On this day..
