Yesterday we loaded up in the van for a trip down to Shelburne to celebrate the birthdays of two very special people – Emmaus and Grandma Sheila! Their birthdays are five days apart and so we took the opportunity to all celebrate together. My brother Ken, his wife Jannah and their son Clark (only a few weeks younger than Berea) came as well as my sister Dana, her husband Colin and their three boys Noah, Owen and Jaxon. It’s been a while since the last time that we were all able to get together, far too long!
There’s something special about watching your child open up presents, Emmaus very proudly displayed his new Ninja Turtles t-shirt from Uncle Colin and Auntie Dana.
One of his presents seemed to catch the interest of most of the adults as well (ok, well mostly Ken and I). It was an encyclopedia of every LEGO minifigure ever made! I may spend more time looking through it than he will!
