Get Started Blogging
There are many services out there that will allow you start a free, easy blog in minutes. We recommend either Wordpress or Blogger.
Wordpress:
The free version will give you the following address: yourname.wordpress.com
It is very easy and allows you to have static pages for information like ‘about me’, ‘contact’, etc.

Blogger:
Blogger provides users with free blogs, you receive the following address: yourname.blogspot.com
Blogger is also very easy to use and comes with a drag and drop outline of your page, allowing you to easily customize your content.

If you’d like your own domain name there are many reasonable options. The cheapest we’ve found is yahoo.com. You can buy yourname.com and have it redirect to your blog for at most $9/year. They also often have domains on sale for $1.99 for the first year.
